Title: OnlineStorageAuctions.com's new domain looks promising for SEO
Post by: Travis on February 16, 2014, 11:43:30 PM
OnlineStorageAuctions.com's new domain looks promising for SEO. Obviously we're trying to rank #1 for the search term "Online Storage Auctions" which is the reason we paid a premium for the exact match domain. Well, it seems to be paying off. We've been using the new domain for about 3 weeks now (at the time I wrote this) and I just checked our ranking in the search results. We now rank #1 on Bing for Online Storage Auctions. #2 on Yahoo, soon to be #1 since Yahoo & Bing are affiliated and the search results are virtually identical. #4 on Google, might take a few more weeks but I think we'll hit number 1 soon.

Also, since we switched domains, the forum itself has climbed the ladder 3 spots to #8 for the search term "Storage Auctions."

OSA is now #1 on Yahoo and we just jumped to #2 position on Google. Should be a a few weeks before we're #1 on Google as well.

We finally hit #1 on Google. We've been bouncing around from number 2 to number 3 for the past few weeks. Now that we're in first position, I wouldn't be surprised if we bounced back and fourth between 1-2 for the next few weeks then finally settle into our number 1 position permanently.

We finally hit #1 on Google.

It's a  self-fulfilling prophecy if you ask me. All of those searches you've been doing for your own site has caused the search hit count to go up. LOL

I wish it was that easy. I just hired a SEO/SEM expert to work 15 hours a week. I'm just too busy nowadays and I realize that I can no longer do it myself. I'm optimistic. She comes highly recommended and she'll be adhering to all Google guidelines.
