Title: craigslist texting scam?

i just posted some ads and got a reply via text , the return # was only 5 digits and the message was kind of vague , is this a new scam for pay #s ?

did a little more googling and yes it is a scam if you get a weird text form a 5 digit # dont answer it

Have seen adds with the phone # scambled like abc-def-ghij   222-333-4445 Or a combo of #'s and letters so guess it has been going on.

We have not gotten any yet. Thank goodness.

basic rule of craigslist is if something seems off don't bother responding, most likely it's a scam, at the very least it's probably someone who's going to waste your time and not a serious buyer anyways.
