The free section on craigs, wondering how many of you guys ever check it out? My GF brought up the idea, and I was pretty doubtful until we started to do it. I was very surprised at the quality of items people were giving away. My best turns: Sold a futon for $100, and an entertainment center the very next day for $60.

I'm having a big yard sale friday/sat for the small items from my units, been using the free section to bulk up on my inventory  ;D.

I use to do it, and I may start doing it again. Just dont like using up all that gas running all over town. Should check out freecycle as well. All of that stuff is free.

I look sometimes. Most often the item is already gone by the time I call, secondly like jross said, it has to be worth the gas money to go get it. I do tend to "slam the breaks" and check stuff left on the side of the road on my daily travels.

Yea, I'm the same way with gas. I just base it on distance/what the items are.

I haven't had the time to do it, but I had a friend who took a trailer to the Dallas area and went around loading it up with all of the free stuff he could.  Made decent money doing it.

I always check the free section of Clist for the area I am in.  I have picked up some free stuff, including a trailer house, but I haven't picked up any free stuff to resell.  There really isn't enough quality stuff, or even quantity of stuff, to go out to pick up.

Freecycling may score me a 55" HDTV 1080p Sony with sound not working, I should know in the next hour or so if I can score the TV, if I do I will show everyone pics of my score!
