Title: What approaches do you take to help insure that people meet with you as expected

We've all had problems with this to some extent. What is your take on this cList "problem" ?

Where I live craigslist does not really cover my geographic area at all. But I have similar problems selling on Facebook and other venues. I typically just have people meet at my house. (Very small realtively quiet community). I usually don't give out my address though until they text me to say they are on their way to pick it up, that way I do not give my address out to flakes. Worked pretty well so far, if we arrange for a time and they don't text, I lost a sell that night but hey at least they don't have my address.

i know some people are super hesitant to give out their phone number, i think its kinda silly but if you have that problem use a call text app or the burner app. talking on the phone your going to get more serious buyers. it takes 2 seconds to shoot someone a lowball offer or say ill come see it at 5 talking to soemone people feel worse about blowing you off as its a more personal correspondence.

also i have people meet me at a school 3 blocks from my house. i dont show up at the time we agree i tell them to call me when they get there. if they never show up who cares i didnt waste any of my time
