Would you leave negative feedback?

Fiend got a $5 item off of eBay. Free shipping.

Item arrived and it was short on postage and he had to pay mailman.
It was only $0.20 but for some reason it upset him greatly.

Seller has pretty decent record and no one has complained about postage being short.

I say, mistakes happen.  Guy miscalculated by 20 cents.

Would you even mention it at all in feedback?

Absolutely NOT! This could be a simple matter of the USPS scale and the seller's scale being off 1/10 of an ounce. USPS kind of sucks in this regard, they always round up to the next ounce when calculating postage. So if the seller's scale said 3 ounces and the USPS scale registers 3.1 ounces, then the postage due stamp gets put on it for the extra ounce, making it a 4 ounce package.

If he's really that upset, he could always ask the seller to refund the .20 cents.

Maybe you could even earn a finder's fee by contacting the producers of Extreme Cheapskates and telling them about your friend.  ;D

this is the problem with ebay people so quick to jump the gun and get upset or complain. it could be when he taped the label on that tipped the weight to the next ounce. i would pay the 20 cents and not be a whiner but im sure if he brought this to the attention of the seller they would happily pay it over gettnig bad feedback. people shoudl contact people and try to resolve things before getting rude and or leaving bad feedback or opening up cases.

one of the things that annoys me most is when people start getting rude and threatening right off the bat. if i made a mistake i will correct it nad even give bonus items to make up for the mistake but it really ticks me off when you get some jerkoff talking like im gnna get in my car and drive to you  and saying threatening stuff. id like to invite them to and bust their head open but of course gotta keep the 100% feedback and do the im so sorry ill make it right thing even though i would have in the first place

there was a postal rate increase 1/27 which may explain it , i would give the seller the benefit of the doubt
