Ok the House of Treasures is FULL. I was thinking about auctioning off my remaining merchandise at the end of a Flea Market trip or two. Has anyone ever done this? Is it legal? Any comments?

Never seen an auction. One guy here that buys lockers sells until the last half hour than blows out everything he has left for a dollar each. Whatever is left when he is done goes to donation and he starts new next week.

Auction it off where?

I was thinking of Auctioning my remaining goods right there at my tables. Put up a sign saying (remaining merchandise will be auctioned at 1:30) The flea market we sell at (The Jockey Lot) will announce over the P.A. that so and so seller is selling their remaining merchandise but I hadn't had any luck with that and thought an auction might get some attention. Does anyone know the laws for a individual having a small auction?

Which begs the question to be answered..."When you hold an auction at a flea market, is it still a flea market?"
Since it changes from a flea market to an auction, do different laws apply?

My guess is they are as varied as the states and the conditions under which they are held. You can bet that each state has an auctioneer licensing board and they have some kind of requirements, none of which I'm guessing would be met by Joe Sixpack hollering out from behind his tables at the flea market.
I don't think that is a winning option, but pricing stuff super cheap is always a winner at the end of the day or weekend.
