Might have found a home !

We have been on the slow side. Having to rework our selling, Thrift crashing = no yard sales, the fleas not doing to well, and husbands new job.

Went out this Saturday to a one day Flea market in a parking lot. Wanted to go check it out. Think we will fit in nicely and have good sells.  It was Flea market style but almost Farmers Market style.

So looks promising of the mix of stuff we can sell. It is front of a RV/mobile home retiree park. Across the street from a national camping park, and down the street from a popular boat ramp. The shopping plaza has a bait and tackle store, and a restaurant.

Planning on hitting it this Saturday.  Moving some of this inventory.  Hopefully enough to hit some auctions next week.

Think it will be a good every weekend spot to rebuild our customers we had at our yard sales, (in front of the thrift) So looking forward to that.

Going to check out another consignment shop also.

Went and helped out my Aunt last week ( OMG her hording has gotten really bad ). Think I will acquire a lot of items from her for payment and for commission sells. Will be doing more work for her this week.

We're also looking at alternatives as our local flea has started to die.  Temps are supposed to hit 106 today and once that is upon us Tucson sorta dies.
We may check out the other big swap meet that has night sessions.  It's where 80% of our regulars sell, so.....they may be on to something~

Sorry for this money, but your posts drive me nuts.  Would it kill you to use a pronoun or two?

Have not heard of a night Flea / Swap here in our area. Maybe nobody has thought of it or because the misquotes my be a deterrent. 

106 issssssssssssss hot. We have been hitting in the 90's add in the humidity feels like 200.  but really we are on the dry side so doesn't fell to bad yet. AC still off.

Following the other regulars usually pays off.  Found a great place through the regular vendors just to far for us to make a nice profit.

This is how it is around here. Maybe a dozen farmers market/flee markets in a 20 mile radius on weekends.
Think they have gotten together so some are Saturday, some Sunday for he flee market. Farmers are thru out the week in various locations. Only two of the markets that include the flee are year around.

There are a few people wih garge sale type booths but most have a niche or an artist.
Booths will have just clothes or vintage stuff or records/music stuff.


I like this cause I can sell to them. Know right where to go. Tho, as talked about elsewhere, they pay next to nothing. They need to make a little too.

Back to point, I like this style better cause it seems most people aren't looking for deals. They are locals just getting out and when they see something price doesn't matter AS much. Plus just the atmosphere they are inclined to buy just for the whole experience.

Thought it was going to fall through could not get a hold of THE GUY, to reserve a spot. Found the Orange blossom Honey Guys # ,  he was sweet and said just show up. 

So the van is loaded with whatever.. Want be a big cash day with what I got loaded but anything is better than it sitting here.

Ok I will confess I have not made it to the market. 

First attempt came down with a migraine. Most likely from the previous weeks stress. Got a new computer, WINDOWS based. Long story. Had to get it for Husbands new job. It high jacked my router and was the only thing on the Internet. So current job stuff turned into a nightmare... 
Cannot believe Windows 7 cannot scan to PDF...


Anyway, Then tropical storm.... Love the rain needed it desperately but does cramp the selling end, then the heat.... Rained for a week.

Still think it will be a good place as soon as I get there.
