Frequently Asked Questions

If a question has been asked repetitively on the forum, feel free to add it here.

I will need all of you to help me determine what the most frequently asked questions are.

This thread is to help newcomers locate the answers to questions that have been covered several times before.

If you would like to add to this section, please include:

1. The frequently asked question.

2. Links to the threads where it has been previously discussed.

Well, my opinion, for what it's worth is this:

Make one post with the questions AND the answers in it.  Close the post itself down so no one can post within it. They can always present questions and answers in an additional post within the section.  Sending them on their way to multiple threads where the questions have been asked/answered seems counterproductive to me.

Meanwhile, here are a few questions:

Do I have to bring my own locks? If so, why? If so, how many should I bring?

What is a cleaning deposit?  Why do I have to pay it?  Do I get it back?

Why do they ask me if I have a seller's permit?  What does a seller's permit do for me?

What kind of vehicle do I need to buy lockers?  Which type is best and why?

How long do I have to clean out a locker?

Are lockers as expensive as I see on the TV shows?

Are locker contents as good as I see o the TV shows?

Where do I sell the goods I get?

How much does it cost to sell at a flea market?

Which is better eBay or Craigslist?  Why one over the other?

*****

I'm sure there are a dozen more.

Make one post with the questions AND the answers in it.  Close the post itself down so no one can post within it.

I agree except that it should be a separate post per question and answer. Each can then be locked and made sticky so it stays at the top of the forum. That way if someone asks a question that is already an FAQ, we can paste the link to that one question and answer, instead of a list of a 100 FAQs for someone to scroll through.

Yeah, I agree that there should be individual posts for each question; however, I'm not sure whether I want to lock the thread. I don't mind editing posts that are irrelevant. There will probably only be 20 or so FAQ's so it shouldn't be much trouble. Also, we won't need to make them sticky since only FAQ's will be allowed in this section. :)

The main thing that I'm concerned with at this point is what the FAQ's are. I would like to get some input from all of the regulars.
