Title: Calling Ahead
Post by: Travis on October 16, 2013, 10:18:28 AM
Most of us know that if a storage facility only has a few units going to auction, it's a good idea to call them to find out if the auction has been cancelled before you drive to the facility.

Do you call before you drive and if so, do you call the day before or the day of the auction?

I always call no matter how units are listed a couple of hours before the auction.  I keep contact info on all the managers that I can to help me remember names and info.  I try to chat them up about family etc and then about the units.  I don't have the chance to go to a ton of auctions during this time of the year so I try to get as much info as possible.

I call right before I leave the house.  Even then they've been cancelled by the time I get there......
