If your auctions do accept credit cards, do you use them or stick with greenbacks ?
-
Pay with credit card and get the points then payoff what was just spent on locker.

The few that have accepted credit cards, I have not used because, I always had enough cash. I don't like when they do because it causes the locker prices to go higher generally. Last one I went to had 13 units, 1 guy bought 8 of them because of the credit cards, I think he ended up paying over $7000 for all of them. Made me lose out on one I really wanted because it seemed like he was doing more of a power grab, then looking for profits. He is a pretty big fish in the area though, so I guess he can afford a bit of a loss to try to intimidate others.
But I do like the idea of getting the points, have to remeber that for future.

Around here only U-Haul accepts credit cards. I don't use credit cards simply because I prefer the reduced tracking ability of cash transactions.

At caravan auctions, If I buy an expensive locker, I might put it on a credit card to make sure I have enough in reserve in case the "Holy Grail" comes along.
-
Well yeah if a Holy Grail unit comes along I'd be foolish to not use my credit card. I just avoid it at all costs as a rule.

Around here, UHaul and Public Storage allows credit cards. Ample Storage (local chain) allows credit cards in certain situations, typically if the locker sells for enough money. I have a Paypal debit card which gives me 1% cash back. I haven't used it in the auction setting, but I may start, because every little bit helps!
