Do you ever hire movers or labor to help you move storage units or sort through the merchandise? Why or why not? And how much do you usually pay them?

Yes, I fondly referred to it as the Wife And Kids Earning their UP-keep program...or 'WAKE UP' for short.

And let me guess, you pay them with a reality check?  ;D

Yes i always hire help to clean out units. Some days I buy 2-3 30 ft units and I'm not moving all that myself.

:96: I tried to help a friend with paying him to help but he either kept wanting the items or wasn't available when I needed him. So I find it is so much easier to work the locker by myself.
This way I don't have to ask are you sure you looked thru that paperwork really good and there isn't any gift cards or cash???        :96:

yeah I dont have my movers sort product, I handle that myself. It goes too slow otherwise and they dont know what they are looking at, plus the temptation to snag a peiece of jewelry is too high. I have multiple helpers I shoot work to part time so there is always someone to help.

I have hired help..  My biggest issue is them WANTING stuff and pocketing stuff..  Now I generally use my kid for some help, my issue there is he wants to Keep Stuff too..  Nice set of drums in a unit, totally his...  My hired help, I will give them some stuff, Clothes for example, shoes...  and then they take my time to see if they fit, etc...  Oh well...  I do 10$ an hour...  Not a lot but it adds up..
