If you're single, please don't vote. However, if you have a significant other, do they attend auctions with you? Why or why not?

Hope you don't mind, I added "Sometimes" to the poll. I imagine it's need is self-explanatory.
Sometimes the wife comes along. She enjoys going but can't always due to her schedule. She would attend more of them if she could.

For the most part no however she comes to the higher end facilities because of previous good finds.
As a result she has learned the ropes and sometimes go in my place when I can't make it. The last room she got for $400, against some serious buyers/whales, we sold the contents for around $10k.
I taught her well.

I can't accurately vote because neither yes or no applies to my situation and just picking one or the other with throw off your very specific statistic.

We go together most of the time because we are a team! We each have our own ideas about what is worth buying and what is not. We each tend to spot different things in the units, good or bad. Two heads are better than one. Also, we find it all very entertaining and enjoy the social aspect and have made lots of auction buddies so there's that.

i voted yes, i do this full time, my wife works full time. but when she can she takes offf for the better ones and comes with.

My husband has been twice, so sometimes would be my answer also.

I took my husband one time. That was enough. He bought a unit that I begged him not to. I had very little room in the store and had already bought two small units. He bought a 10 X 30. I could have KILLED him. He did help me load it but when it came to going through it and hauling it to the dump he was done. He is NOT ALLOWED to go with me ever again!!!

We are like peas in a pod on Saturdays, storage auctions are not her favorite and prefers by the piece over whole unit auctions, but when we do buy a unit she right there helping to load, sort and trash.....selling not so much. She is really into Estate auctions and a local antique auction.
