A couple of years ago the local story was about a fellow who bought a lkr about 60 miles from me with half a dozen caskets inside (all new).  I think he paid $3K, but considering how much they cost he probably made out well even after discounting them to whatever mortuary he sold them to.

If you buy a coffin the same year you die, can you write it off on your taxes?   :D

The Federal Code specifically lists funeral expenses as NOT being medical expenses.  But you knew that!  :)   :D
