I've done both (found them in lockers and picking) and am wondering how widespread it is to find Bose products.

one of my first units i ever bought had a set of bose in wall speakers. i think i wound up getting a few hundred from them on ebay

My very first unit had a Bose radio in it. I was uneducated about such things and put a $30.00 price tag on it in the store. My husband (the electronics expert and hoarder) flipped out when he saw the price. Needless to say it went on e-bay and sold for $175.00.
Twice since then I have found speakers. One set is now in his garage and the other is hooked to a vintage receiver here in the store. The speakers are not for sale as they sound so good I sell the heck out of old receivers with them.

I got a Bose sub-woofer in the garage right now, but don't have the wires or radio/stereo to test it. :'(
I also had some Bose computer speakers I sold in a lot with other speakers, probably shouldn't have done that. :'( :'(

Found a 10 +/- year old Bose Acoustimass subwoofer. Think I sold it for $20 and it took 2 months to sell.

In two of the last 3 units I bought I found Bose speakers. In the first one I found a pair of Bose 201 series IV and an acoustimass subwoofer. In the other I found a set of Bose 401 Direct Reflecting floor speakers, about 3-400 dollars worth I estimate in resell. 8)

I've picked a pair of Bose 201's and a Wave Radio from a thrift store and put them up on eBay, tripled my investment.

Not that imoressed with Bose, but then again I work in radio and have way better products to choose from! But you get the brand and the brand is what sells

I love bose speakers, but have only found pieces of sets. A solo here or there.
They sell, but a complet set would be better.
