Need help identifying this

Hey, has anyone seen a box spring like this before? It looks like a hard plastic frame. Possibly an adjustable bed? I did some research and couldn't find anything like it. Based on the low quality mattress, it might just be a really cheap way to build box springs.

I know that Sleep Number uses composite plastic box springs similar to that. The cover to the box spring is also similar. The bottom rides up all the time and exposes the black plastic underneath. It could be a knock off to Sleep Number, or as you suspect, just a cheap way to make a box spring.

Actually, the more I look at it, the more I think it's two small box springs for a queen size sleep number bed. That would really suck if it was a high dollar bed but the mattress wasn't there. There is an expensive hard plastic mystery case in the unit and something large that is covered...looks like it could be a 55-60 inch flat panel TV but then, it also could be a headboard. I might gamble on it, who knows.

I've got a Sleep Number and my box spring is 1 piece. It could be for a different brand like Comfortaire.. In any event, I think it's a box spring for an air chamber bed. Not a bad find, but certainly much better with the mattress.

I think your right. It doesn't really matter anymore, last time I checked, the online bidding had exceeded my limit. Some idiot paid over $500 for some box springs, a cheap head board and a black hard case. Somebody sure did want to see what was inside that case.

It could be for air or even a gel bed. Those need support everywhere, unlike spring bases. What I really like about the design is how pets cannot climb up inside and get hurt.

Looks like you could put some boards around it and call it a sand box.
