The more I look at this, the more I think it is staged. What do you think?

Looks clean, but that's the kind of thing we look for. It doesn't look obviously staged to me though. I still would want to be there to use a flashlight to look through any nooks that might give a view deeper in the locker. Online auctions aren't for me and the few people who have bought them locally haven't been  happy with them...rigged or not. It's just not the same as being there and there's no way around that.

The one place locally that used online only did it for one or two times and went back to live auctions.

I don't think it looks staged. I think it's just logically packed. The thing about online auctions is you always run the risk of managers "cleaning up" for a good pic. They do want to show you as much as possible, which is a good thing. But are their ethical standards such as that they won't go through the boxes as they're straightening up?

The guy who stored the stuff had some irregular items like cheap office chairs that he put in the back. It looks like he didn't pack the unit well and then realized he was running out of space fast.

The sad thing is, if that's a plasma (which it looks like it could be from the thickness) it's toast since he laid it down flat.

The TV looks like an older LCD.. When DLP's were popular too.. Not that this is a DLP.. But I don't think it's a plasma.

If it stays low enough, I will scoop it up and let you all know what I find. Donations are accepted for this community educational effort.  :D

I'm currently bidding on some units in my area as well. So far with 8 days left there has only been one other bidder, but we've battled on all of them (10 units). The units look legit and are well covered in the photos. Only downside for me is that all of the facilities that list with this website charge a cleaning deposit, which is ridiculous if you plan on buying multiple units.

This one did not stay low enough for me. I don't know what the final was, but it got jacked up in the last few hours beyond where I was willing to go. No big deal, not exactly my kind of thing, and it felt fishy to me. Gotta trust that instinct sometimes! I would love to know what was in the camera bag though.

Yeah, it could have been a high end Cannon digital worth thousands. I bid $368 on that locker and someone outbid me a few hours before the end of the auction. I was going to go higher on it but I got two great units yesterday and I didn't want to stretch myself too thin.

Plus you have to factor in sales tax, a 10% buyers premium and moving expenses. It all ads up really quick.

What? A Storage Battles locker was STAGED? Of course! How else can they state a full inventory of items except for opening boxes and moving items around?? And you can bet the facility manager threw a few bids on the unit as well. WHO WOULD KNOW??

I think it's tough to tell if something is staged or not. You could make hte argument that good things at the front is staged because bidders can see it and you would think you would hide good stuff in the back incase your locker were broken into. You can just as easily however say good things would go to front because it's the last thing you put in and want to be more careful with or its the stuff you'll need the soonest so you put it towards the front.

I think with staged units its one of those things you'll know it when you see it or at the very least know to be suspicious, however I dont think its that easy to say a unit is staged if you see such and such

After no signs of other bidders the first week of the units being up, they have took off like hot cakes. Most of them ended in the 4-5 hundred range. Although I did notice the facility itself put the link to their units on auctionzip.
