Title: Storage auction forum oversaturation
Post by: Mike in SD on November 23, 2013, 01:46:36 PM
In perusing this and other forums for storage auctions, I can't help but notice that there are waaaaaaay too many sub-forums that haven't been active in months. Is it really necessary to have 30+ sub-forums when only 10 are being utilized on a regular basis?

From what I've seen, that's the case with most forums. Here, some of the sub-forums exist as resources only.

I think the "Your Neck of the Woods" forums should be condensed, but in my opinion, most of the other sub-forums fulfill a purpose even if they don't have a lot of activity.

i agree i think this is the case with most forums theres a lot of subcategories which dont get much action, especially when you start breaking things down into regional areas because were all spread out. that said i like it the way it is. i personally dont like when categories are too broad and not everything in a category interests you so you have to sort through a bunch of crap you dont care about to find what you do care about.

i think another factor is just less people are active on forums and posting on forums in relation to storage auctions anymore. it used to be a buzz in all categories butthings have really slowed odwn overall
