What's the most number of people you've seen at an auction.

I just saw 4-500 people at a Friday night auction up here in Canada.  I was short on time so I had to leave after the first locker.  Pretty crazy.

I would estimate around 300.

Most was MLK day - 300 people (facility said was 350 but I think they double counted some).  Second largest was my first auction ever on a saturday - 178 people.  We were an hour late getting started as the facility wanted to register everyone.

Wow,mine was only 50=60 people.

20-50 people is a normal size crowd in my parts now.  When I first started it was a dozen or so people, up to 25 for the caravans.  I can still sometimes hit a auction with less then 10 bidders but it's harder to do.  Most of those are out of the way, 1 unit auctions that cancel more times then not.

I could see large cities like Atlanta with 300+ people at an auction easy.  I don't think they hit those numbers to often due to the large # of auctions going on at a time in the area.

No offense but all the complaining you've been doing about the shows and the large crowds and high bids, and the most you've seen is 100 people??  That's the minimum here when they advertise.  Mind you, I've been to one with only 6 people that didn't advertise so it's not always bad.
