im 19 just got into the auctions, tv shows got me into it. just want to see how many young guys or gals here are into the auction secene.
-
I'm 27. I've been going for several years. Now there are more young people. Before the tv shows it always felt weird there would be no one within 30 years of me lol
-
Im 33
-
39 playing with 65+ year old men and women at the auctions. Last auction i went to, there were only 3 young people against 10 elders.
-
No comment.... LOL
Will just say older than what is already posted here... LOL
::)
-
Old enough to know better !
-
I am most likely the youngest 'serious buyer' here, as I always am at my local auction scene. Its rare to see because most young people dont have the means to do it like myself; transportation (a truck), seed money (full time job), or a place to store it (the house I rent has a storage shed on property).
I am 20 years old. Good luck to ya.

I'm 38 and wife just turned 16, she goes to most the auctions for me

Lol - hope your wife isn't 16.
37 myself, with my wife (35) and oldest daughter (13) doing auctions with me on/off. My daughter is hooked in both the buying, digging, and selling of stuff. Dad and I already commented she can get a job in retail when she is 16 easy.

And for his sake, I hope she is! ;)

Was waiting to see how long it takes for anyone to notice that, we are really 21 and 27

Reaching 35, blah!! My g/f is 25...mature for her age and I'm not craddle-robbing!!!..... :P....Have some cash in my pocket to definitely get deeper in this business. No luck with the past couple units, but I'm definitely buying some units. I think I may have profited $200 overall so far with 6 units, but I'm going to keep trying!!!

26 here.
-
32 here... for a couple more weeks, anyway :D
-
i have all the means for the job i have a Gmc 2500 8ft box and some seed money, cant find a job around here so money is abit of an issue right, and i have a place to storage all the goods. i guess i find out how old the guys in my area are when i go on the 30th.
-
Well went out of our area today for a Looky loo. We were accepted as if we were regulars again...After this thread I guess it is not our great personalities or smart bidding but our age..... >:(
HAHAHAHA
-
haha age probably does have something to do with it.

Seems like a lot of new generation pickers out there. I know I started going to auctions when I was very young. Got hooked around 12 or 13 and have been buying and selling since. I've been fortunate enough to make it a serious business with a 6,000 sq ft building to buy and sell from, couple trucks and a few employees.
If I had any advice for the younger guys getting in to it, take everything you see on television with a grain of salt!

Going to say 18-49. Since most people are therebecause of A&E network. Here is a link cablemediasales.com/pages/nets/?cp=nets&sp=demo&demo=P18-49 that shows what network tagets what demo. And A&E targets women 18-49.
