Ephemera ? What's that?
Here's your chance to learn something new. Just Google ...define ephemera.

I found a nice poster of a local community college's musical production. It was frame and signed by the cast and crew. I brought it to the current professor and he put it up.

I think this topic qualifies as ephemera. ;D

Nope, that honor goes to "How old do you think Barry is?" which I'm happy to say I didn't start. ;D

Well, actually I was thinking of things like all the old newspapers "Dave" got on time on the tv show. I think it was about the JFK killing, but I might be wrong.
One piece that I got was for a line of Marklin model trains printed in the early 70s. Got it in a box of such things and sold it on eBay for $20.00.
Another score was a catalog (about 10 pages) for Questron telescopes. Paid 50 cents at a bookstore and sold it for $50 on eBay.
THAT'S ephemera.

I found a box of 1976 Bicentennial year calendars. They were in a box ready to carry out to the recycle bin. A man came in an gave me $100 for the box. Two lessons learned there, one mans trash is another mans treasure and the right calendars can be worth alot of money. I did some research and will not be so quick to throw old calenders away.

We all have to learn new words sometime. In my case I learned the word ephemera when I read it in an ad for an estate sale. Looked it up and made money off that education.
In the case of several who have read and responded to this thread....well, I think they learned about it here. Always happen to contribute to the cause, whatever the reaction to it. ;D
