Got a locker about 4 months ago that contained Level 3 body armor, Kevlar vests, Kevlar helmets, rucksacks, cold weather uniforms, chemical suits, 15 AR-15 clips, military Gerber pocket tools, canteens, shovels, helmet/AR-15 strobe flash lights, a compass, chemical detection kit, and tons of pouches.

I found a used condom stuck to the bottom of a plastic tote. The guy who's unit it was was obviously at one point in the marines at camp lejune. Does that count as a military item? Dont think the resale price wll be too high though.

It counts if it was olive drab or camo in color.  If it belonged to or was used by Elvis it has value.  ;D

The level 3 plates sold for $180 on eBay. I was told by an Army sergeant that the models I had could be resold legally. I kept several things for myself and the rest were resold to a surplus dealer at about 50% of their retail value.

Surprisingly, I've found none yet, since I've been back in the game. But if I travel south 30-45 minutes, I'm sure the percentage of soldier's lockers goes up. I'm about an hour north of Fort Bragg.

I'm right next to Fort Hood so military units are a dime a dozen. Ironically, they still sell at a premium.

Mostly uniforms, boots, and rucksacks. Typically Korean era up to modern era. Camo sells great at the flea market. Dress uniforms seem to be hit or miss on Ebay. I have stuck a couple back to put up on a raining day to see how they sell. Boots and foul weather gear sell pretty good on Ebay. Rucksacks go to flea market. medals, pins, insignia sell at flea market.

I had a WWII bombers helmet that sold pretty good on Ebay, went to France. I also had a set of headphones and com link from an 80's era Apache helicopter. Oddly it didn't sell on Ebay so I "talked it up" at the flea market and got like $25.

I just found today a foot locker with the 5th Infantry division insignia on it. Don't know yet if the locker dates WWI or WWII, both are possible cause there is some OOOLLLDDD sh$t in this unit. Probably WWII since they were associated with Camp Benning, GA. Likely to find more stuff, still in the process of cleaning the unit out.

I have found a lot, one locker I found a box of memorabilia including a cruise book for a hospital ship served in Nam, a hand painted banner of a fighter.  Got $450 for that one box.  Get a lot of uniforms. Oddest item was a hat from the Ukrainian army, not that old but neat.  Neatest item I have found is a certificate for crossing the Arctic circle dated 1967 on the USS Zellars.  I still have that.  Check out the Zellars here. It mentions the trip over the Arctic Circle.

Still afloat and owned by Iran right now.

I also found some stuff for the Yangtze River patrol org in a locker no period stuff but some more modern things indicating someone had been a member.
