I am also in Central PA.
I plan to attend my first auction next week, if nothing else, to see what goes on and get my feet wet.
My son also wants to go he is 13 and excited to see what we can find :)
Been doing research to see about disposing of the goods(or not so goods).
This link is a great find, thanks to the poster!

in SE PA, some of the auctioneers and facilities are not letting anyone under 18 and without a valid ID on the property during auctions.
There were some issues in this area a few weeks ago, so they are cracking down.

thats good to know. thanks for the heads up

Google Self Storage Association, or Mini Storage Association and you should be to find a state agency or something like that where the storage units can join. Texas has one txssa.org and I was able to get a list of all of the members in a 15 mile radius of my zipcode, it produced a list of over 100 facilities. I found a BUNCH of information by googling various things...
Good luck!

A sense of humor will go along way these days !
Some people bring a small folding step stool; others brings a small folding sitting stool as with 100 potential buyers a sale that could have been done in 30 minutes takes a good hour and half.
