Title: New from North Mississippi
Post by: MTigers on June 20, 2011, 08:21:07 PM
Hello, my name is Scott Medlin. My wife and I have been considering getting started with storage auctions for a few months now and went to our first one this weekend. We did purchase one unit and have been going through it today. I don't have any false hopes of becoming rich from this but I do believe that we can double our money if we bid correctly alot of the time. Any suggestions you can offer would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome aboard! So how did you do on the first unit? Whats in it?

I got it for right at $100 actually, and it is mainly furniture, books, and small personal items. There is one small bed-side type cabinet that looks pretty old and I'm trying to find out if it could have some value. The total outcome is yet to be seen but it's hard to lose when you get it for that cheap. I'm just south of Memphis, so I'm trying to get more info on upcoming auctions there.

Cool! There a decent amount of auctions in Memphis. Might bump into mr Anderson out there!

Maybe so! I'd like to get in touch with him to see if he would mind giving me info on upcoming auctions. I've spent a few hours this week scouting them, but the earliest I've found so far is in early July. I'd like to find atleast one this weekend.
