Title: Newbie from NC
Post by: 1tobuyandsell on April 24, 2011, 08:41:12 AM
My name is Gary.  I've been buying and reselling on Ebay and Craigslist for more than 7 years.  I've been laid off since January and bored.  So, I decided to hit the storage auctions and see what all the hype is about.  I've been to approx. 10 storage auctions and haven't seen anything to brag about.  I just hang out in the back and watch.  It seems to me that people are WASTING THEIR MONEY!  I can already tell who the newbies are compared to the veterans.  I've done alot of research and I'm ready to buy a locker.  I don't see that happening anytime soon with all the newbies thinking they're going to get rich.  :-\

Welcome to the forums.

Enjoyed reading your post about the $27,000 locker.

The more auctions you go to of course you're bound to see some good lockers, but
your observation is certainly true that by and large they are ordinary and often bought
at prices beyond their return value, at least at the present time. Conditions vary from place to place of course.
Yes, there are some good buys being made.
