Title: Newbie here from NC
Post by: Coledurango on May 24, 2013, 01:00:47 PM
Hi my name is Stacy and I'm from eastern NC along interstate 95. I have never attended an auction and am looking to get into it for the fun of it. I have always enjoyed finding those old run down houses and barns when out hunting and plundering to see what I can find, but those are getting harder to come by, so I figure this may be the next best thing. I have a more than full time job so I will have to plan ahead to be able to attend auctions. My initial plan is to only purchse cheaper units and let my wife and mother whom are both housewives sale the goods at weekly yard sales which they enjoy. If anyone knows of a good source for auctions here in NC please feel free to share the info.

Welcome! I'm from Raleigh, so you're not far. You're probably closer to Fayettenam. Lots of great auctions around. Many of which are on auctionzip.com, but those auctions bring the big crowds.

A couple of good auctioneers that work Eastern/Central NC..

Scott Millner
Butch Evans

Another is Elite Auctions. I haven't had an issue at these auctions, but I've heard things..

All 3 of them advertise their auctions on auctionzip.. but they're fair. Don't know if you have Security Self Storage out by you, but stay away.
