Hi All,

I'm new to the forums and new to Storage Auctions.  I went to my first one a couple weeks ago and bought a unit.  It cost me $21 (there wasn't much in it) and I had some of the items sold before I left the lot, so it cost me only $11, haha.

I must have gotten lucky because I found a bunch of specialty books in the unit and sold a few of them at a nice profit.  So my initial $11 investment made me over $100.  Which was certainly a nice start.

Anyway, I live outside of Houston.  And am trying to find out how to find out about these auctions.  The bummer is (or at least one of them) that all these auctions happen while I'm at work.    I can't afford to take off that many days a month.

Hey Welcome!! Not bad for you first one! Nothing like a 10x profit!!  Yea I hear ya on the work part. When I first started I was working a full time job as well and hardly could get away from work to check them out. Now I have a different job and it has really flexible hours so I can go to them more often. Here in Atlanta area I am seeing more and more auctions being held on Saturdays too. Maybe you can find some on Saturdays.
