Ok now the good stuff... No Auctioneer, no refundable cleaning deposit, no buyers premium, Nice crowd about 40 people recognized one from other town.

5 x 10  Washer/ dryer Single wicker bed frame   $ 110  (little old lady with cane think she needed a washer)
10 x 10 1/4 full with misc. office I don't know what not much in there.. $ 175 (had something my husband  recognized said worth around $300 if you had a buyer)

10 x 30 full of wood working, saws a lot of work to move. The manager was rambling on what all was in there we were like ok how do you know been in there? No they should have opened the other door the saws were over there.. They did open it they got $400 for it

Don't remember the size but only had a pool table (full size nice) in it and all the accessories $170

10x 30 full household $375 Whale for that area didn't spend crazy but running an auction house.

5x5 inside unit... casio keyboard in it and old monitors $80.00

and a 5x5 with mainly clothes in it for $30.00 and it is ours
have sorted every thing mainly kids clothes not a bunch of infant stuff. 10 nice jackets... If we sell all the clothes for a quarter we will be fine. two working heaters two new kids bikes helmets and two strollers.
some misc. toys. This will work for us we were planning a yard sale and needed a little more to fill the tables.
And no Sales tax we will be going back to this auction. : ). And the people were really nice  The guy I recognized chatted with me and pointed out when my husband was bidding all I could say I am going to kill him...It was on the pool table... LOL

money4nothing........ I have never been to an auction that you had to pay a deposit just bid, I have never even heard of such a thing.  I think you may have misunderstood what the deposit was for. I'm thinking it was for anyone who wins the locker to make sure they clean it out and not just take the good stuff and leave the trash in the locker.

Good luck with your locker you bought.

He was pretty sure about what he said I have never heard of it either being a noobie I try to listen to everything. If I run into I will let you know kinda hope I don't. He also said they took a copy of his license and when he didn't purchase anything he asked for it back and they gave him a hard time about that. Said his Identity was stolen when he was younger so he is cautious. (I have some good ears) : )
And thanks think we will do fine on our locker.. Strollers should get our money back, I know clothes are a pain you don't get paid for your time with them, but will help our yard sale. And we needed to do some work. LOL

It sounds like whoever you overheard may have known that you were listening and told you something to scare you away from the biz. Or you may have heard him wrong  :-\ But yeah I've never heard of that and as a matter of fact, my MIL's b/f is very good friends with Darryl on Storage Wars and I even asked him that...he never had to pay a deposit.

LOL Never thought of that. He was a new face to me on the caravan that day. Well it did not work. : )
Almost finished sorting the clothes locker for $30.00 and so far with my handy spread sheet if we sell out total should be $250. So not too bad planning on yard sale Nov. 5. Will post the results.
