This locker is out of both my price and work range but I really think you can make some money on it.

Hopefully someone on the forums can pick it up it is in the Dallas area.

I have been watching it for 3 weeks. As a matter of fact, I have consulted with some solar professionals and they said the panels are low wattage monocrystaline battery panels. They said they were extremely low quality and not worth very much at all. They also said, and I quote "be careful backing up the forklift, the glass in the panels might damage the tires."

Four other considerations.

1. A lot of them are bent or have heavy objects on top of them.

2. These are just laminates, they don't even have junction boxes on the back. The junction boxes are voltage/amp specific and you need one for every panel. At $8-25 dollars per junction box, that adds up quick.

3. 80% of the panels don't have frames.

4. Finding a buyer will be difficult since they are "batter panels". Nobody would use these in home systems since it would require 50 panels for an average house.

Thanks for the info
It just feels that even if all that is true would it be worth it at $3k or less?
Quick math
2k for the forklift
3k for panels
and all the extra is cheese

I am way out of my depth but it looks so darn good.

Now that the auction is over with, I'll say a little more. The experts I spoke to on a solar forum appraised them at about .25 per watt. Most likely they are 100 watt battery panels...so, $25 per panel. You can only see about 80-100 panels. Chances are, a good portion (50% +/-) of these panels are damaged due to bends or heavy objects resting on top of them. So do the math. That's $1250. The forklift is worth $1800-2000 max. The Ryobi saw, new $120 used $60...if it's in the box. The two TV's $200 or less. Pallets & work benches..$50.

The unit sold for $6,310. + tax & buyers premium making the grand total = $7461.57. Now factor in moving and labor costs.

Whoever bought this unit is a complete idiot. I wish I could slap you!

The final price was ridiculous
Even at my uneducated inflated prices

Thanks for the input
