Title: The Good and The Bad at Storage Treasures Website
Post by: MovieMan on October 30, 2013, 09:03:51 AM
Take a look at this from Storage Treasures....one good idea and one bad idea !

The BAD:

Online auctions...both Travis and Lance know my feelings about these...in my opinion they won't fly.

I thought it was strange they said they would...."over analyze" the concept.

The Good:

An opportunity to win an I-Pad.  Beats the heck out of the $50 gift card idea, but I'm sure the odds are high...still ?

There will be plenty on live auctions to attend - dont think they are going away. However we have several thousand stores requesting we have the option to sell units online. We need to respond to our clients or someone else will.

I don't think they'll go away, but they won't kill the live auctions by any means. I think that the company that creates a way to integrate the live auction with the online will be the one with the clearest advantage, ala proxibid.com or auctionzip.com. Just have to figure out the logistics of having a "mobile" auction available to stream online for out of area bidders.

you sure? ...or you still confused? We are only targeting 4-6k stores for our online product. You can have the rest Travis. Just five companies get you over 5k. Go get them - they are just waiting for you to call. Do you need the phone numbers?

I think you're all talk. If you're about to enter the online storage auction niche, why would you endorse your competitor? As I mentioned in another post, you would be a fool to enter the online storage auction niche. Storage Battles has a 3 year head start on you. Virtual Storage Auction offers a free service and will eventually put Storage Battles out of business. There will be no money to be made on your part. Now, factor in the costs of site design, customer service, maintenance, legal issues and you're left with a giant money pit.

Anyway, I'm done arguing with you. Do what you're going to do. As I mentioned in another post, I don't like the drama you bring to this forum and other people are tired of it as well. If you would like to add something beneficial to this forum, you're welcome to do so. However, if you continue to be a nuisance, I will fulfill your own prophecy and delete your account.
