Title: At resale shops do you guys consign or take cash?
Post by: rulesforrebels on February 06, 2011, 03:16:31 PM
I stopped by to check out a new resale shop I hadn't been to yet the other day. They give 50% for consignment 20% if you want cash.

What do you guys normally do consign it or take the cash? I dropped off some clothes as well as furniture. Clothes I just took the cash, they got so many clothes who knows if mine will get picked out, otherwise I gotta keep renewing the consignment or pick up my stuff. ALso my clothes I dropped off were all nice but from a unit where the lady wore 6P which is petite. Figure with most of the population being fat what are the chances my stuff getting bought to took cash.

For pier one type pottery home decor stuff and furniture I've been doing consignment. The lady said she can't keep furniture in the store so I'm gonna be on the lookout for furniture at future auctions. It's an upscale resale shop so has to be nicer furniture not any old kitchen table in a unit but still good.

I stopped in at this resale shop again. My furniture and home decor stuff flies off the shelves so do consignment for that stuff. For teh clothes I just take the cash. They have so many clothes what are teh chances of someoen buying mine, I'd rather take the guranteed cash.

Don't use them myself, but I know one guy out of 15 regulars who does.
