So I am pretty up to speed on Craig's, eBay, etc... Where do you sell firearms? We will have a garage sale and am sure I can sell them at that... But we had several from the lockers we bought. All have been checked by PD. I just don't know best place to sell.

I would think that you cannot sell them at a garage sale. Gun dealers have to do background checks on people before they sell them.

Personal sales are legal in Colorado. I am not a dealer so no need for background checks. I double checked all of that. Just don't know the best way to find the person who will pay the most.

Where I live they sell at the flea market so fast they will burn the skin off your hand! I haven't found any in a unit yet, but the "gun hounds" hit my tables every weekend before sun up.

Myself - I would keep any guns that I find.
If did want to sell them I would put them in one of the local sell trade papers. Before ebay and CL - we had the iwantta. It is a trade magazine that is nothing but classified ads. As an individual you can put in 2 free ads a week. Cost to buy the magainze use to be $1 but is up to $1.75. Can list anything and everything.
If you have pistols look for shooting ranges / gun clubs in your area. Local newpapers may allow you to post a ad but those are iffy.
My local flea you can't sell weapons except pocket knifes. Ammo clips, ammo, etc. is fine but no firearms. As other's have said some flea markets allow you to.

So a felon or ex-con can legally buy a gun in Colorado as long as it's a personal sale?

I am not sure where you live but here in California we have a great website.....Calguns.net. There is also Auction Arms and Gunbroker...those are national.
You mentioned that you had your PD run the serial numbers and the the guns are clear but you may still want to do a FFL transfer as opposed to a private party transfer unless you know the person.
We have only found 5 guns in a unit but hubby still has them....he doesn't sell anything that goes bang! ;D

It's not legal for a felon to buy a gun, but it is legal to sell one to him. ;)

I just use a local gun shop. For 20% they will test/inspect/clean, run a check, do the back ground check and if gun is in my name they do paper work to transfer ownership.
They get top dollar and heavy traffic. Web posts. Can sell to someone in any state and the contacts to sell to dealers if you want to sell fast for less.
Usually get, even after 20%, close to what I can get selling thru paper with no work, hassle or risk.
