I was at the local auction house this weekend. Lots of people but prices were not bad. Anyway this vacuum comes up and I have a friend that had asked for me to keep a look out for one. Figured if it went cheap what the heck. I'm not a vacuum snob. I will by whatever is cheap and works. No one wants it so I pick it up for $5.00. All of the attachments and a large box full of bags. I get back to the store and start looking through the box. This thing is an Electrolux and the invoice is in the box. Someone paid $1138.67 for this vacuum in 1998! Needless to say my friend is not getting it and I have become a vacuum snob. Not making any money on this one but the floor in the store looks great.

I'm in the same boat. I got that Hoover carpet cleaner for $12.50, retails at $359. Plan was to clean my carpets then sell.
Thing works so well and is so easy I'm having a hard time listing it. Want to keep it.
I am a little disgusted at how much dirt came up.....thinking out laying hardwood through out.
