One thing I've learned in the short time I've been doing this is that they facilities owners are the ones making the money. And I don't mean just the storage place, I mean the antique malls, the flea markets, those guys are making a killing! Makes me want to consider buying a facility instead of a unit lol.

I haven't had that happen in this business yet (being laughed at) but I have noticed a sideways glance and a smile between a reg and a mgr after I won one. I walked right up to him and told him I'm retracting my win and to re-auction it if he wants his money. He told me that I wouldn't be allowed back in. So I said loudly "who wants in when you stage lockers?" and walked, loudly telling the details as I did. In the end over half the crowd walked with me. You gotta be very observant.

What's it Worth?? / Re: Bride Doll.

We were at Goodwill the other day buying jeans to resell at the flea and we decided to look around for other stuff. We (my son and I) go over to the toys and I pick up a couple barbie dolls and I'm looking between their legs for the date stamp. My son asks what I'm doing so I explain to him that some dolls have their markings between the legs on the thighs and some (like the one I had in my hand) have it on the lower back. Chase laughs and says "who says barbies aren't realistic? They even have tramp stamps" me and two women in the aisle died laughing!

we do it all man! I'll have the same thing on CL, eBay, FB, Twitter, Pintrest, Yardsellr and Etsy at the same damn time! In addition to that I'll have pictures of it on my phone and if I hear someone talk about it, I'll whip that ***** out in a heartbeat and try and sell it LOL!

Cool that they did the policy change. Just seems dirty. That was big of Don to shake hands. Not sure I would have been back, much less been friendly.

Welcome and good luck. We are doing it too. Currently trying to learn how to move **** faster rather than sit on it. IMO that's more important than a lot of the other stuff. You are going to get a LOT of stuff and most of it will sell. Question is, to whom and how long before. Still trying to learn that aspect. I may start a new topic.

I have about 50 things on it. Have had only a couple hits thus far. I've tried the free side, where I promo it all through my facebook and I've tried the bulk uploader for .01 per auction where it's supposed to put them in the blocks for you. Haven't had a single hit on those yet so I don't know if it went right or not. I did sell two redline Hotwheels that I paid .25 each for 2.50 each. They were beat fillers but thats a great profit margin albeit on a small scale lol.

Wife heard it at an auction today. More auctioneers are talking about the fee to view the lockers in hopes of killing off the looky loo's. Well I talked to the facility owner on my way out after clearing out the locker she won and dropped the whole "fee refunded/exempt if you buy/have bought in the past" bug in her ear and she loved the idea.

So if they are going to do it, at least hopefully this way will keep regulars and buyers from having to pay.

Hmmm very interesting points you have there. This makes me wonder if anyone in the nashville area has scored. Also makes me wonder how you get on that short list of people they sell the contents to. No doubt you gotta know someone. This is all very disappointing but it doesn't make me want to stop... yet. Just be much more careful.
