A "few dozen" does not even come close to the actual number we have locally but I am not going to turn this into a math thread.

Perhaps, in my SA infancy, I did not clearly articulate my question which, simply stated, was what is the BEST way to get started finding local auctions.

I have seen subscription services, ebooks, training videos and mystics all making suggestions, well, maybe no mystics, as to where to begin.

If you guys, the "experienced" unit buyers tell me that I have to call EVERY site in the greater Tampa Bay area, well, then I'll start calling.

I am just trying to benefit form your knowledge.

New to Storage Auctions? / Taxes - To pay or not to pay!?
« on: February 27, 2011, 07:21:08 AM »
A word no one likes, I know.  I read somewhere that we have to pay sales tax on the units. Is this where starting an S-Corps, LLC or some type of business structure comes into play? If so, what is the prevailing thought on "type?"

Millions, huh? Let's hope you're right!

Thanks for the info. Sounds good.

We have 100's of storage places in town and I cannot see calling them all. What's the best, least expensive, way to get a handle on the who, where and when?

General Storage Auction Talk / Re: Ebooks - Worth their salt?

It's been said before, but I would go to youtube and watch the videos of Glendon007 (Glendon Cameron).  That guy did it for quite a while, and he's got some pretty good videos.  He also tells it like it is, so I hope you don't offend easily!

THX - I'll check 'em out. Offense will not be a problem. Done some offending of my own, should be good. But thx for the head's up so I can send the boy and wife out of the room. They both have tender ears!

Good evening Folks. People call me Mick.

Anyone with news, links or other info on the auction scene in the Tampa, and surrounding, area please send 'em my way.

I am kind of a collector myself. I love old vinyl (records, for those too young to understand the term), comics, old books and nick-nacks.

I am not afraid to ask, or answer, questions, so just  know I'll be involved in the discussion.

General Storage Auction Talk / Ebooks - Worth their salt?

I saw a couple links for "how to..." ebooks in a post earlier and I am just wondering if they'd be worth the 25-30 dollars the people are asking or should I avoid?

Thanks, in advance, for the info.
