I bring my 13 and 11 yr old boys to auctions! They stay out of the way for the most part. I let them get a look and we guess how much the locker will sell for. their guesses have been better than mine a few times. Nobody seems to mind here. But if you have toddlers running amuck around and into lockers....that's just bad parenting ;)

I was pissed when I found out Operation Repo was fake! I really got into it for a few weeks, then started noticing funny things about the show. Now I laugh at myself whenever I see any of their commercials. :D

New to Storage Auctions? / How do YOU find auctions?

I was wondering how all of you find out when and where auctions are being held?

I have been to a couple of sites, but not too much info out there.

Do you call each facility individually? I can imagine that some managers at these sites get fed up with tons of people calling every day.

I read that you can find them in the news paper, but I haven't had much luck with that.

Hey Everybody!

Just want to introduce myself. My name is Jr. from the Bay Area of California. Pretty new to this, as a matter of fact I haven't even won a locker yet! I have no delusions of making this a way of life, but rather a way of scoring some cool stuff and maybe even making a little cash.

You've got a great board here.

I went to a couple of auctions this past week, decided to just watch and take it all in before I bid on some junk. First locker was 10 x 20, packed to the top with looked like a whole household. Furniture, bbq, tool cases, musical instrument cases, boxes galore. This one went for $1650 I believe. A couple of others went for way more than I thought they would. The last was pretty funny, a small unit with just a press board desk( missing drawers) and a ripped recliner. The auctioneer offered to pay someone a dollar to take the stuff, lol.
