sure cards still sell good but they are not even close to what the pricing guides say if you sell via ebay.
ive bought and sold alot of cards through ebay and your best bet is to try to find anything pre 1960 and sell them individually (someone will buy them to complete a set) or newer cards that are auto'd (through the card manufacturer) or #'d cards with low digits...

no thank you, you may have the quantity but anything in the 90"s arent worth the paper they are printed on......
the card manufacturers saturated the market the whole decade......
your best bet is to put them on ebay as a LOT, and try to get the most out of them..... probably $20 will be the highest bid

we did have a $1 unit go last month that had 2 empty looking boxes in it. i looked and went on to the next locker. it so happened that one of the boxes had $3000 in cash.......
damn the bad luck....
wont ever pass up a $1 unit again.....lol

thought about it, but i did end up bidding on the one that went for $1100. At fist sight, the unit was a gold mine...first thing in the locker was about 10-15 paintings, not worth alot but the frames were awesome, a antique chair, about 50 boxes that werent marked, antique clock, weed eater.
i could tell that it was a great locker because there was a phone book form about 20 years ago witting on a stack of boxes and you just dont see that.
but i could tell the guy bidding was not gonna loose that auction so i bid him up a little and gave up

went to a storage auction yesterday here in Evansville, IN and there were about 200 people there, about 6 x as many as the first one i went to last NOV. Alot of families were there, parents bringing their kids out like its a carnival. It was funny hearing all the kids tell the parents to bid or not to bid.
15 units went up, only 1 locker even worth anything and it went for $1075 and it was probably a good deal. Could tell that it was for an older couple.
The problem is, is that storage facilities or so overgrown compared to the poplutaion and the facilities are promoting $1 for the first month and all the people take the good stuff out and leave the worthless stuff in it to go to auction.
but, keepin on trucking.......
