...wrap up.  Sunn CL 190 head was a slow sell.  Moved it right after Christmas for $600.  If only I played a guitar.  The kids that bought it plugged in to test it out and the sound that came out was just amazing.

Prices are up in Atlanta.  Thrift store owners are packing it in for irs refund time.  Always like this here.  Thrift market seems to be doing very very well.  People who have opened stores in the last 2 years are growing a lot.  Units have less quality but scrap has been paying the bills.  I really do think that it is mostly the state of the economy.  People have less money so the stuff they store isn't very good.  Lots of furniture with Goodwill stickers on it.

Stories about Storage Auctions / Animals in Storage Units

I read this this morning (storage but not storage unit story)...I was in Noonan, GA last summer and it was a 2 for 1.  The auctioneer threw open the doors and there was a turtle perfectly petrified right in the front.

I did NOT buy the units for various reasons.  My question is...have you ever found something like this and called animal control because of the cruelty aspect of the find?

So they are going to post a "secret" business name on an internet forum since it is in the SouthEast section...

It's not's pertinent to Atlanta only.  i.e. if I get 0.04 a pound for clothes I can't ship them there cost effectively.  But thanks for the input.

Yes on all accounts.  Some auctions require a reseller (sales tax id) if you don't want to pay sales tax.  We pay the sales tax.  Have our own reasons most of them have to do with less paperwork, etc.

Keep it legit or it will come back to bite you.

People that know about it here may or may not want to advertise one of their "secrets".

Turned it over to a friend to move and are focusing on fixing and "slow moving" the Sunn 190L and cabinet.  Very very interesting niche.  I figure that in 2 or 3 years I may have a decent understanding of what I am looking at.
