The Treasure Chest / Re: Latest Cool Stuff I've Found in Units!
« on: February 15, 2011, 08:18:37 AM »
I have come to the conclusion that teacher is like the TV shows.  He hauls the bad stuff while the camera is charging, then shows us what's left.   :D

I am sure you make a profit teacher, but I wonder what you have to put in to get the kind of products you do.  I know my money roll probably can't handle what units with some of these items (if they were in plain view) would cost.

The "Other" Job / Re: My full time "other job" is

I'm a computer geek, work out of my house, but my hours are set, 8-5 every day.  Need to figure out how to get those days with 4+ auctions during the week off, I am guessing that is where the money can be made (less people, lots of boxes).

Other Forms of Selling / Sports Cards
« on: February 15, 2011, 07:44:06 AM »
I know the quick answer would be break them up and make as much as possible, but if you had say 5000 (or more, I am not sure) sports cards, what is the EASIEST way to get a few dollars for them?  Anyone know even a stepping off price?  I ask because I see lots of cards sitting on craigslist all the time, with no buyers, and this many cards are not worth shipping at all.

1NC1,

Was this a weekday auction?  Seems like a ton of folks for a work day.  Just wondering.

Teacher, I watched a few one day in a marathon, even when these two buy "one box in the corner" units they come out with 1000 dollar items.

I set my initial search map to 50 mile radius, but I am sure the ones in the big city will be packed.  The good/bad news is a lot of them are during the day on weekdays, so I would bet not 100 + people.  I think I will just take days off when there are multiples and I am in the mood.  It's just a side thing for me.

I would have no issues with finding guns, booze, and money.  :-)

First I have to go and win a few...since I am new.

I voted none of the above, my favorite is that smart ass wife Jarrod has.  "Who got the good locker?"   :D

Do any of you really have any luck selling mattresses?  I mean really that can be no better then the press wood put together furniture in my book.  Straight to the dump I would think.

Looks like it's a best of show set.  Wonder if they will show any bad units?  The only shows I have seen these 2 guys only buy units with guns worth 1000 or more in them, they must have x-ray vision.... ::)

Hey, I am in Eastern NC, and I promiss to bring no kids, wifes, strollers, etc to any new auctions.   ;D  I already found a site that lists some of the auctions, pretty good amounts, about 5 or so a week.

Anyway, hey!  I'm the new guy.  I also plan to be a looky loo for at least a few auctions, so that I can get a feel for the regulars, the rich guy who needs to buy every box, etc.
