Just wondering when you guys search for auctions? Are you the type that looks for auctions on Sunday, then plans out your entire week? Or are you the type that looks for the following day's auction the the night before? Or do you have a different method?

A rookie storage unit buyer and a reporter made an extra effort to return an urn with a former Navy Seal's ashes. I'm glad they were able to locate the family.

Why do you think a storage facility would want to limit the number of buyers at their auction?

If 100K fell from the sky, how would that change your resale business?

Would you buy a bigger/newer truck or trailer or possibly invest in a warehouse? Would you increase your inventory or would you use the money for other things?

Let's say a really good unit came along, but you couldn't afford it. Would you take out a loan or use your credit card to finance the purchase? Why or why not?

Just came across this video where Glendon explains what to do if you come across a large sum of cash. Some of it is pretty good advice.

Any other opinions? Is this good advice or would you do it differently?

Company News / Forum Upgrade - Make Sure Your Email Address is Current
« on: March 17, 2015, 10:46:48 AM »
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. Our current forum runs on SMF software, which isn't very compatible with some other necessary software/services we recently started using. That being said, we'll be migrating to a Xenforo software over the next few weeks.

Although we anticipate everything will go smoothly, we advise you to make sure your email address is up to date, just in case there are any issues when importing your account.

Out of all the people I thought would see on FOX business news, it wasn't THIS GUY.

Just came across this article about a couple that buy storage units, advertise their wares on Facebook and then allow their customers to pick up items from their home. Well, the city they live in is cracking down.

What do think about this? Has the city gone to far?

What's it Worth?? / Taxidermy
« on: March 07, 2015, 12:39:33 PM »
Does anyone have experience buying & selling taxidermy?

I knew that exotic taxidermy brought pretty good prices, but I didn't realize that an average deer mount was selling for around $175 on Craigslist.
