I would say that storage wars are more realistic then storage hunters.

Another thing is, that all the people involved in storage wars have track record to show for.
Their companies have to defend any claim of finding, and it is in their books.

So to call the show fake, like many of the @old Timers@  here in Memphis does is BS.

Of course the show put extra focus on the good stuff, because thats what sells to the veiwer at home.

I have to say i love storage wars as a good entertainment on a rather boring normal wedensday. lol

Let us know how your find turns out in sales. I think you should make back X6 your money easy on that unit.

Furniture can be hit and miss, you never know how it turns out.
Quality furniture are rarely any problems, Chineese furniture and cheap stuff will build you a inventory for a long time.

The local police in many states direct you to ATF, as they have a nationwide database.
Local police often tell you they can't deal with it. And the second thing is that you have to register the gun in your name before you can sell it. The reason for that is so they can track the gun in the future.

No gun dealer with respect for them self and their business wants to buy a gun unless you have taken the right steps.

Sell them, normally i get $5.00 to $10.00 for them.
As long as they are in working order.

I was thinking, what if we startto take some pictures of our auctions?

I mean after you win a unit, take a picture of it, with the port open.
Then take some pics as you go along sorting it out.
And then of course after you have found your goodies.

I will start to bring my camera around from now on.
Let us document and share our finest moments.

Hi.

You learn form your mistakes, and they can infact be good for you.

When thats said.

Car: As long as there is no lien on the car or it beeing stolen, you can contact the DMW and get a clear title. But it will cost you some money. Depending on the state you are in. But normally between $75.00 and $100.00 for a new title.

Gun: This is importent, you MUST contact ATF, and clear the gun. If the gun is HOT and you sell it, you are in deep trouble. And you might end up behind bars for a year or two. Gund must be cleared with the ATF.

Both items are easy to sell.

General Storage Auction Talk / Where to find the best units

In what states and cities do you think the best units are?

I believe that California, New York, Texas, Arizona must be good. Just becasue of the fact that you have alot of high income population.
Also they have had alot of "rich" history.

What do you think?

The tragic thing is that people show up and have no intention of bidding. Just take up space and make it more messy.

LOL i guess the guy who ended up with trash for over $250 will be kicking him self to death. And it was most likely a newbie.

Just be aware of the fact that even if you win a few lockers, that it can take time to sell the goods. It is not like on tv that you get it sold 5 min later.

I some cases you might end up sittingon a product for weeks, maybe even months.
So have a cash reserve that you can live on and play with for future upcoming auctions.

Online sales are slow these days and alot of scammers, "craigslist" here you have almost 80% scammers and spammers.

The Lounge / Re: old mattresses what do you do with them.

Hey Bandit.

There are ways to go around that.

Take a knife, cut of the fabrick and put it in garbage bags, then you throw it away.
The metal springs you can sell as scrap metal, not that it is gonna make you rich. But if you get enough matresses during the year you can save it up and get a few bucks for it.

Same with boxsprings, and with boxsprings you have wooden frame, well cut it up into pieces, and pack in clear bags, and sell it as firestarter wood.

It is only your imagination and fantasy who set limits on how to make money and save on fee's

How many do you buy per month?

So far i am doing 2-3 units a month, because thats what i can handle storage wise.
But as soon as i get more space i am upping the game.

Here is a few pictures of some of the stuff i got.

I think the unit belonged to a "wanna be" stripper, because there was tons of stillettos and thongs in several bags.
LOL and i think her boyfriend was a pimp, because there was alot of typical pimping clothing in there.
