New to Storage Auctions? / Would you buy batteries for watches?
« on: September 30, 2011, 03:03:35 PM »
Would you buy batteries for watches that you find in units?  I have several from a unit that are nothing special so would you buy batteries to check them out?  What is a common price for used watches?

Did a yard sale today.  Was selling any clothing for .25 just to get rid of it without throwing it away.  Young lady comes up with her mom look at several things.  She grabs up a pair of jeans and said "I'll give you .50 for these".   ::)Yeah I took it.

I live near I-75 so Jacksonville is a long ride.  However they do have lots of auctions.  Savannah is to far for me.  Just wish Gainsville and Tallahassee had more auctions during the week Sat. are a circus.

An auction done by a manager of the chain of facilities no buyers premium.  Bid was $275 the other was tax.  The flat screen was right up front the gamble was if it worked.  It did so I won. That was round trip pulling my trailer about a tank and a half.  There were several auctions on the same day at the same time it split the crowd some.

I have friends that have done this for years.  Decided to start same time some TV show gets EVERYBODY all excited about storage locker auctions.  Went to my first auction and watch people bid on things that looked like junk or so packed it was a gamble.  Watched and tried to learn. Bought a locker 3 wk ago for $294.15 :-\ with $95 :'( round trip fuel cost.  So far sold $320 ;D and have a friend planning to buy a flat screen for $200.  My son's wife is expecting the first gradchild so I am keeping some things that would probably bring about $100.  Yard sale tomorrow will report back after that.

Liandra is the name of my bike and I use it as an online name too.  Been reading here for several weeks and decided to join.  New at this, but have friends that have done it for years.  Don't like the GA auctions because the facility owners go in before the sell and inventory.
