I also went through the phone book got a list of the storage facility. We have one that has 14 locations so I googled their name with auction... Found the local Auction company that holds them.. Have several places I check now.. Planning on going on Thursday and Friday.. Storm today (flooding and power out) no auctions on Tuesday and busy on Wednesday.  Good luck  We are not quite ready yet either but taking cash too... : )

I am new too. But have a nice list of auctions to attend and do the Looky Loo. : ). I google legal notices with my county and state. Found quite a few web pages and one really nice one Florida public notices... I can search county, city, and just Auction. then read the notice and it may give you the name of the Auction company if one then you can google them. Plus the auction company will tell you there rules and fees, plus any form you may need before you bid. Hope that helps happy hunting.

We are located about 15 miles north of Ocala, in the middle of Black Sink Praire. Two miles off the hard road, if you come down here you're either lost or family. Nothing out here but the gators, eagles, owls, deer and us crazies, we love it.

Note to self label pictures..  :). As soon as I find them I will post .. Did find a nice shop today Only charge $2.00 a sq' and no commission... Most places want to much money IMO plus commission.. And consignment starts at 50%. so am stoked at this new place.. And on a Wednesday afternoon had at least 6 customers in while I was there. Plus they have a farmers market on Fridays sure that brings them in.

Going to start with my own unit... Storage on my property. We have a construction trailer (currently filled with our house, building a new one on our property) Did not want to pay storage. Go figure. Anyway am excited to get started on this venture.
Truck and trailer  Check
Place to sort  Check
Place to get rid of garbage Check
Going to a local auction tomorrow for place to sell extras will check out other local auction house for high end things.
Plan on doing Flea market.. Yard sale's will be limited due to location.
Cl and other local free classifieds online.
Ok on to my question I have a set of Hammered Copper cook ware. (my mothers) Can't remember if I tried to sell on CL or not. I assume that Fee Bay would bring best money but worried about the shipping part, this stuff is heavy. Also if I sell out right should I price it at what I could get for it as scrap or what I think it is worth? I know it is only worth what someone will pay for it. I have sat on it for 3 years now and starting at home to get my nest money to start this new venture  Any help greatly appreciated.

Getting our feet wet.. Spent all day yesterday reading here and getting some local information on how to get started. Decided to get rid of those things I have been sitting on for years knowing I want to sell them. Deciding on the best way of selling these things. Some are easy some are a little harder.. Will post my questions in the newbie section. Oh yeah we are a husband wife team. Thanks for all the advice.
And I have a little history I use to clean up reposed homes.. Not a lot and was not really in a position to be an active seller. Love looking for treasures. Best ever treasure was I was paid to take 1934 GE refrigerator away.. Still have it.  :)
