Shipped out a package USPS 2-day priority flate rate.   It's been six days and tracking still just says it has left my local facility.

I don't really care. It was just some stuff for my sister.  Doesn't matter when it arrives.  However, I went with priority over standard at a greater cost so a bit upset. 

So I'm at the post office and mention it, give tracking number, just inquiring.
Lady gets attitude and says "well, are you sure you put the right address?"

"Ummm.....ma'am?  Doesn't matter what address I put.  The point is that you can't tell me where it is"

"It's going to Dallas?  They've had a lot of bad weather so deliveries re behind"

"Oh, cool.  So its in Dallas waiting to go out?

"I dont know.   All I see is it left his facility last week"

"So your blaming the weather in Dallas.  But you don't know if it is even IN Dallas?"

"Is there anything else I can help you with?"

"F**k it.  What holiday stamps you have?"


Sometimes you just gotta know when you beat.  You can't argue with stupid.

I've been interested in going but frankly a bit intimidated from the reviews I've heard.  Guess its worse than a bridal gown event.  People are crazy.

The sell things like 75% less than stores and by the pound.   All just dumped in bins, dig thru.  Unwashed. Unsorted.

Anyone try?  Worth the craziness?

WTF?    Guess they don't want to deal with small businesses.

I ordered a new thermos off of ebay.  Didn't really get a deal but cheaper than store.   $18 with shipping rather than $24.99+tax.   Guy had "maker offer" option.   Tried $5, $6,$7.....nope.

Figured out why.  Guy doesn't know how to ship!   Little thermos, he stuck into a medium flate rate box. $15.25 to ship.

Would have been $3-$4 if he had just wrapped in brown paper then taped the sh*t out of it.  He probably could have shoved it in a flat rate envelope!   


But I got my thermos.  Now I can have real oatmeal or wheat berries for breakfast.
Before bed put in with boiling water.   By morning its done and have a hot breakfast all ready!

You stand around in this heat to attend storage auctions?   
Maybe I need a few days to be climatized.  I have no problem being out but standing still, on asphalt?  Doesn't sound fun at all.

So?   Up in the PNW we are totally use to rain.  No big deal.  But rain = lower attendance, even tho they are indoors, don't know why.  To me, drizzle or downpour, wet is wet.  Doesn't stop me.

So do higher temps lower attendance here?   To me, 90 or 105......feels the same.  Is there a drop when the temp spikes?
