Cool.  Would be easier.

No clue why my laptop thinks all my pictures are a video.  But I video'd a presentation and went to edit it and it won't let me view that either except thru the video editor.  I saved it to a CD and it works just fine on other computers.....

 I'm missing a setting somewhere.

Alias300 - Can you post a photo so I can see what they look like?

It would seem the answer to your question would be: No.

New laptop.  Windows8.   It says my camera is an unsupported format for windows.
Its AVI.  Should be plug-n-play but keeps sending me to xbox video player.....which plays AVI too sooooo.....hmmm.

Did the same thing when I loaded my video editor.  Pretty much anything I load that isn't MS made or licensed it says it's not supported and I have to go thru a bunch of BS to get it to work.

Can I post pictures from an ipad?    I couldn't in the past but haven't tried in.....years?

Forgot to add....

Got a bunch of old school thermos's.   Nissan, Tiger.....
They were .25 cents so took the risk.   I see them *listed* at upwards of $75 for some but not many selling.

Can anyone direct me towards a resource to tell which sell for what?  They all look the same to me.
I figure I can get a few bucks each or sell the lot to a swap meet guy but would like to know if one is a bigger ticket item.....

Didn't do to bad this weekend.
Mostly grind-it-out stuff.  Not huge profit but a lot of it for cheap.

Got 50 backpack replacement clasps for $12.50.   Retail at $3.99/ea.  will throw them up on ebay for a while but think they are going to swap meet and sell the lot to someone.

Nice little copper double boiler for $5.  Not name brand but will CL for $40 and see what happens.  Thinking an offer of $20-$25 is good.  Really thin copper but most people just want the ceramic insert anyway.

Competing into spring I grabbed the hiking packs and tents. Five of each for $5/ea.  All name brand, cheapest pack was $150 new.  Really good condition.  Figure $25-75 each.  One REI tent was brand new and sells for $200.  Might just return it for a gift card.

Got two drill presses.  Those little ones that sell at Home Depot for $75.  Paid $5.

Starting to see a trend here?    Yeah.  Pretty much everything was marked to sell.  Five bucks got most everything left.  It was a feeding frenzy!  lol

Then just a bunch of misc. stuff.  Like packaged rope and fishing line and what not.  Stuff was like 10cents/ea.  I will try to sell but if not they are all things I'll use at some point or give to friends.

Also got myself a counter top griddle (yep, $5) Now I can make more than one pancake at a time.....

I basically filled my entire trunk for under $100 and I'll make that back on just the one tent.

Because you would need money to sue.   If you had money you wouldn't have lost your unit.

Trying to find enough legitimate claimants from one major facility for a class action or for the DA/commissioners office to look into it,  would be brutal time-wise (no money)

Until enough people complain the government doesn't care.  The people that have a legitimate claim can't afford to have a voice.

Besides, that's what we need....more government oversight.

I come take a look around daily but I don't have much to post.
Due to multiple surgeries over the past several years I couldn't do the physical labor of big units.
With few small units available and the shows upping attendance, and price, I concentrated on picking.
Now I'm back in college which 1) takes a ton of time and 2) my classes fall during the most typical auction times.....I haven't been to an auction in months.

Even picking is hard.  Not many estate sales in the winter.  Should be picking up (no pun intended) but I really don't have time to sell.  It's been hard to list items because from day-to-day I don't know what my homework schedule will be.

There is what sounds to be a great auction next week.  Facility with a lot of units, they primarily have smaller units and its in a nice area of town......and it's scheduled to start the same time as my finals. That's my life.

Seems to be a trend around here.  Profit of units isn't really worth the cost (time, work  ect.) and have branched out into other areas. At least for those of us with other things going on.

Mr. Grocer: Kid, I'm putting together a little concern, which would enable those of us in our, uh, rarified profession to avoid embarrassing overlaps.

Martin Q. Blank: What, like a union?

Mr. Grocer: More like a club. You know, work less, make more.

Martin Q. Blank: Wow, sounds like a great idea, but... thank you, no.

I have not, but in the summer time I take couches and chairs that are dirty to the drive in power wash car washes and give them a good power washing. Let them sun dry and they're nearly good as new! Can't do it in the colder months though..

That's what I do on really bad cars.  Take seats out, scrub, pressure wash, then use shop vac to suck up dirt and water.    I've even do be the carpets that way.   Then dry in paint booth.
You can let car run with full heat too but on colder days it had taken 6-8 hours.   That's a lotta gas.
I'll stick an ozone machine in there too.  Kills everything, bacteria, mold, smoke smell......

I'm not a big fan of steam.  To much time.  It works but when your paid per job.....time=money.

For parts and tools I just dump them in a parts washer.  You can get one for $75-$150.  Plus cost of solvent.

By "auctioneer" I assume you mean "professional" auctioneer rather than just employee of facility?

Cause without an auctioneer (professional or otherwise) it isn't an auction......it's just a bunch of people standing around in front of a storage unit.

From my understanding the copywrite would be the original writer.  It doesn't have to be legally copywrited or even published.   It lasts for the authors life plus 70(?)  years if published, something like 120 from writing for unpublished.

But this us for work after 1970-something.  Not sure about before that.

You can't loose a copywrite thru a lien auction because (even if original draft) the copywrite is the work, you don't have the work, you have paper with work on it.   Like intellectual property.

Now, the original draft itself might be worth some bucks.  You could always sell that, just not publish it. At least not as your own, or in persons name without permission from them or estate.

Disclaimer:  I don't know a thing about this topic and "facts" above are from memory and my interpretation.....which has no legal background to support it.   Commonly referred to as a "guess".

Here is another one I can only assume is a craigslist crazy.....

https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/for/4375390659.html

Maybe if your asking $25 for an item that is readily available (not discontinued, still sold) you might want to remove the $12.99 price tag......just a thought.

I'd talk to Owen.  He has a nice collection.   Three nickels, two quarters and a penny.
Prize being his quarter he got when at Martin and Lewis at the palladium.
His daddy let him keep the change, his daddy always let him keep the change......

Wanna see them?

Zero.   :'(

This new class schedule is when all the auctions are going on and I don't do Saturday auctions.

I could find some farther off ones but then don't have time to clean out or do mass selling.

Maybe next quarter.......

Try it yourself.  Buy a cheap stethoscope and listen for the pins.
Its way to much to post but you can google how to graph the clicks so you get a set of numbers.  Then it's just a matter of trying those numbers in every combination.   Think its like six or twelve possible variations.    I've done it and its kinda fun.  Takes forever.....as in, it was fun but I'd never try it agian.

I couldn't do anything new.  I've tried and I can't hear a dang thing.
But if its really old you might be able to.

You might also google the model name/number.  If its old enough, back in the day, safes all got sent out with the same combo and buyer reset.  Most people didnt.   See if the shipping combo is posted.

Then again, the safe guy probably tried both these and if HE couldn't.........

I just had one today.....

Guy is in Portland.
"I want the stools but its a bit high [price] considering the drive". (about 400miles RT)

"Yeah....way high.  I would find something else, personally"

"Can you come down?"

"Yeah, I'll knock of $25."

"No. I mean can you bring them to Portland?"

"No.  I don't have time plus I'd have to charge you more."

"Charge more?  For what!?"

"Ahhhh.....an entire day wasted, driving there.  Gas.  In my car that's like $75"

"Oh come on.  Your making a lot off them.  I've seen them for way less, you can afford to drive down"

"No. I can't.  And you don't know how much I bought them for so you don't know how much I'm making. Besides if you've seen them for less than why are you...what am I doing....why am I still talking to you....piss off and don't call again."

Idiots.  I swear some people just do that sh*t for fun.  Like Internet trolls.   No way someone can be that much of a moron.....right?   Right?    .....hello?    <sigh>.  :-[
