The oddest ting happened today....

I had a Dr's appointment and decided to hit an auction on the way. It was the first in a 3 facility caravan and had 6 units up. Crowd was moderate, about 40 people but the units were junk....a lot of cheap furniture, dirty clothes and kids toys. I did not bid on anything but I noticed that one gentleman had won 3 and I passed him as I was leaving. Stopped and asked if he had found anything and he said.....wait for it....oh, I didn't bring any money. I was just bidding for fun! The idiot had won units and was just walking away! :o

I returned to the office and told the auctioneer but by that time 90% of the people had left. I had to leave to make my appointment on time but I am very sure that on the re-do the units would be lucky to bring $50.

Sounds like a great locker Rockin. I think the "man" units always sell quicker and for more money than the lady lockers but I'm with you...my back is not what it once was. Luckily daughter's boyfriend likes to help and he works for lunch! ;)

Good luck with pool table.

Money - that looks far better than anything I have seen so far that used bedsprings.

Buttons would look good....maybe in a contrasting color?

Flea Markets / Re: Had a good day at our local swap meet~

Sounds like you had a spectacular day Rockin!

I did not sell at the swap this weekend. I had sold a couple of our horse corrals (note to self....never, ever sell another corral!) and they showed up Friday around 5pm to begin cutting them and planned on moving them Saturday morning. By 6pm I had a yard full of trucks, about 5 men all giving instructions to the two actually doing the work and a backhoe that no one really knew how to run!

I had 6 Olde English Bulldogges, 1 poodle, 1 chihuahua and 1 kelpie in the house madder than heck, I could not let them out due to the big gate was open to allow the guys to come and go! Hubby ended up running the hoe...mainly in order to save the waterlines and sprinkler heads and to help move the whole operation at little faster towards completion.

The plan quickly went from just doing the cuts to loading the whole mess onto a trailer.....by this time it is dark. I turned on our big pen lights and hoped no one ran into water spigots that now were just sticking straight up in the middle of nothing. As they were loading the trailer it became apparent that there would not be room for everything and they would be back in the morning (Saturday) to pick up the rest - the rest being feeders, water troughs and the shade cover that they managed to break into two pieces thinking they could just lift the whole 15X20ft thing with the hoe bucket without removing the tin.

By 9:30pm and more trips to the cooler for frosty adult beverages than they really needed things started to wind down, trucks were leaving and we managed to finally close the gate and let the dogs out by 10pm.

BTW...it was almost 100 degrees on Saturday and I still have the troughs, feeders and the busted cover in my yard. :o The new plan is to shoot for Tuesday evening....hubby says he is not coming home until I give the all clear!

So I missed the swap.......

Matches - same rules apply in California. Inventory description must be included in the legal notices.

Flying sparks make good dramatic television. ;)

This is all so encouraging!

I go in spurts on E-Bay because I am just so lazy at times about getting stuff ready to list....ya'll have perked up my interest in E-Bay again. (plus a couple of loony CL buyers!)

Heading off to look at the pile now. ;)

Money -  ;D ;D ;D

The picture I am getting is great!

Maybe glue a couple to the bottom of the old tennis shoes and sell at the swap....kid's would love them! ;)

My teacup pin cushions are selling at the antique mall for $8 a pop! I have about $1-$2 into them.  Yippee...cuz the cup and saucers do not sell at all. Too many vendors have oodles of them.

Hubby bemoans my artsy-fartsy pile in the back bedroom but he has learned just to stay quiet. What is sad is I have no artistic talent...none, not a drop! I have to stick with things I can glue together or stencil or staple.

LOL....I have only seen mattress springs turned into a bulletin board thingy and some planters! Both were kinda ugly!

I used my kids crib springs to hold up sweet peas one year.... ;) Hubby thought it was a tad junky to keep up for another year.

Rockin...what a beautiful piano stool! I would not do a thing to it except rub in some linseed oil.

The lamp would make a great table.....remove the lamp innards and add a clear piece of round glass.

Still working on the birdbaths! ;) One lamp is so ugly I cannot decide what to so with it - it is disassembled and spread across my kitchen counter. The other is done except I need to run by Lowe's and pick up a boob lamp.

Now that you know how to post pics, I'll just e-mail you mine to post! :P

PS: we have had major rain today and it is heading east....better shake out some tarps!
