Garage Sales / Re: Yard Sale Prices

Your prices are way too low. Small tools I price at $100, power tools $300, clothing $150 per article, etc.
You'd be surprised at how many government people come around and buy everything I have. ::)

Yeah I didn't like it too much either. I'm curious if anyone has had to sell items back to a storage place yet.

6. The buyer acknowledges in certain circumstances XXX XXXX Storage may contact the buyer and request that certain items be purchased back in order to prevent any court action with said tenant, the buyer also agrees to sell to XXX XXXX Storage such items for (a) the cost at which buyer purchased such items plus (b) any reasonable actual costs incurred by buyer in connection with such items.

If it's 13 ounces or less, send it in a padded envelope first class mail. That should only be a buck or two.

General Storage Auction Talk / Re: Two auctions today and no lockers for.

Thats retarded not to pick up ANY unit thats a dollar really

Why would I want to pay $1 to haul away someone else's trash?

Don't worry, I can have My pockets Bulging anytime, and usually do.

In that case, you'd be wise to stay away from mens locker rooms. ;)

If You find an empty 22 cal shell, and they find it in Your Possession, thats good for 1 yr. of Free room and Board .

Seriously? I guess it's time to get rid of that live .38 that's been sitting atop my desk for the better part of 15 years.

Well you wouldnt want to put them in a bussiness or a school! Cause then you would have to goto a costco or sams club and buy product and charge 4x the amount. Im with ya on not buying a vending machine. My back hurts from a full wallet of money when I sit down. The last thing I want to do is make money from a vending machine  :o :o ::)

That has to be the nicest piece of sarcasm I've heard all day! ::)

I once found a coffee can that was being used as a toilet.

How do you know it was being used as a toilet?

From the link I posted a few messages back:

"The Value of 1943 Steel Cents:

Currently, while these coins are an interesting change from the brown cents that we commonly see, none of the 1943 Steel Cents are considered rare. Values for all three varieties in average circulated condition is not more than 10-20 cents, at most. In uncirculated conditions, such as might be found on a coin fresh out of a bank roll, the coins have a value of 10 to 20 dollars. Near perfect specimens (MS-66 and up) will have a value from 30 to 70 dollars."

I had fun LMAO over the guy sleeping in, then bidding on his own unit.

I've been pondering this possibility. Say you win the auction and end up finding stuff like illegal drugs or stolen weapons, etc. Being the good citizens we all are, we would of course call in the police to take possession of it, right? The dilemma is that I technically just bought illegal drugs, weapons, or whatever and am also the one in legal possession of them since I am the current tenant for the unit.

I have no doubts of beating such a rap in a court of law, but am more concerned with the moment at hand when the police show up. Can they legally arrest the one that won the auction?
