New to Storage Auctions? / Re: how to photograph my unit
« on: March 15, 2016, 12:38:54 PM »
I have two rules for my photos, the first is the more the merrier. The second is make them clear and detailed. Vague and blurry photos just open the possibility of problems after the deal is done.

eBay / Re: Getting your first neg feedback is actually very freeing!!!
« on: February 22, 2016, 04:02:53 PM »
I really hate it when customers extort from sellers by using a negative feedback as a weapon.

It used to be worse, at least now you can post a response to the negative feedback and get your side of the story out there.

The Treasure Chest / Re: Score

I'm scared of the repurcussions of customers coming to ask me what I've done with their junk!

That's why we have the 2nd Amendment in this country.  :13:

Buyer FAQs / Re: Can I sell my large eBay inventory on this forum?
« on: December 13, 2015, 12:51:30 PM »
I just wanted to ask the moderator or operator of this website/forum if it is OK to post a sales thread on this site, and if it is ok then where should I post it?

Selling, or links to selling is not allowed on this forum. It was nice of you to ask first, others are not so polite.

Maybe Alloro has some answers. If Travis isn't talking to him even, then it's over.

Nope and it's possible.

Of course the waning interest in storage auctions isn't helping either.

But that makes the thrill of the search even more exciting isn't it?

Only if you have a very liberal dump nearby.

Feel free to try and find a better answer here, because if it was Ton's health I can't find anything on it.

Allen HAFF: I really appreciate the comments posted above. Here at the end of this road, there was just way too much beyond our control to be disappointed and we had way too much fun these last 5 years to be sad! Ton & I will both miss making this program BUT I'm especially going to miss sharing them here with YOU. The fact that we got to share this AH-some trip together at all? I feel lucky. THANK YOU!

Have you communicated any with him about this dust up?

No I have not. I know he will come back and tell us what's going on once the dust settles and he gets all caught up with those 2500 emails. If I bother him now I'll only hear half the story and I'll be keeping him from getting caught up. In the meantime I'll handle whatever I can here to help keep some load off his back.

Did you ever get ahold of him?

He replied in this thread the next day (Sept. 11), see above.

Sounds like a competitor is behind this.

What's it Worth?? / Re: From a newbie about what might be a good buy
« on: September 10, 2015, 01:14:19 PM »
My rule of thumb is to bid on only what is visible. Boxes will mostly hold old books, clothes, decorations, or paperwork and tend to yield little value. If there happens to be something of value in a box I just consider it a bonus find.

Here's what he said on his auctionstx website; he didn't say what "today" was, so it could have been days ago.

Weeks, not days.

Maybe he's just overwhelmed right now.

For 7 weeks? There's something more going on because no one is so busy that they can't reply to a post, a PM, or an email in 7 weeks.
