I got tired of seeing a lot of $20 rooms going for $100-200.  I used to ask myself "what am I missing?"

You're not missing anything, that's just newbie TV personality wannabe people buying stupidly.

My area is more rural than most on this forum, and I got sick of going to low level auctions full of crap.  Even the whales weren't buying this stuff.

Have you looked into local police or town auctions?

Welcome to the Online Storage Auctions Forum / Re: Auction Hunters
« on: June 01, 2015, 07:28:31 PM »
Just had to turn off a show called Auction Hunters, what a load of crap, honestly the fat guy who is what, 40ish? walking around calling people "dude" dude this, dude that, what is he 12???
dresse's and act's like a teenager, what an idiot. glad I dont have to watch him anymore

So you immediately felt the need to come and register and post a write up that comes off equivalent to the 12 year old teenager persona you just trashed? If it is your intent to continue to trash those that we here share a common interest with then allow me to be the first to suggest that you :sign0090:

I found the other half for you.

Yes, for the most part there are buyers lurking around every corner here. But we do have one section dedicated to storage facilities and their managers.

Here: http://onlinestorageauctions.com/forum/storage-facilities/

I used all but one of those specialty tools. As much as I dislike doing the job that my over-priced cable company should have done, truth be told, I'm glad I finally got to use the tools I never thought I'd use.

Well still be sure to have them come out and make sure it's spliced correctly so you don't have another issue down the road.

eBay / Re: Does anyone else find the commercials on eBay annoying?

I haven't seen that yet. But I have a lot of ad sites blocked thanks to my host file.

for what reason would somebody want to buy a cable box off of me on ebay?

If someone damaged theirs they could just be looking for a cheap replacement instead of paying full price to Comcast/Verizon, a cable box repair company looking for spare parts, or more likely someone buys them, rigs them to receive all channels, then sells them.

Picker's Paradise / Re: Would you return contents....

I'm pretty honest and believe in the whole karma thing but I don't know about returning the unknown contents of an item I bought.

I wouldn't have returned it either. He bought it, he owns it.

They've already charged the customer for the "lost" boxes. If they get them back they have to credit the customer, so it's not worth the trouble to them. Sell them on Craigslist or eBay.

The online auctions are going WAY high in our area.

Fortunately that is a self-correcting problem. Those that buy high don't make money, so they get discouraged and quit.

With ridiculous prices on this site and inability to look at the goods many of the regulars in my neck are calling it quits.

With the regulars quitting the auction sales numbers could actually go down. That would cause Extra Space to return to live auctions.

Then you truly have no idea what you've missed out on in life.

Sorry brother. If there is a ferret heaven, I'm sure she's up there getting into trouble.

Thanks.
More likely running it. She was always the matriarch of the clan down here. Even the males that were three times her size wouldn't challenge her, she was the oldest, the smartest, and the smallest, but still took no grief from any of the others.

I can't stand it...I lost my little ferret buddy Nippy Friday night.

<------ Nippy "Nip"

In July 2013 I lost her sister Pippy which devastated me for a long time. I kind of blamed it on the fact I had brought her into the vet to have a tumor removed and she died suddenly while waiting in recovery after the surgery and the loss of her was an unexpected shock. Nippy was different, she had been sick for a couple of months so I kind of knew the day was coming and was prepared for it. Well I was wrong, I wasn't prepared. After having her bring joy and happiness into my life every single day for the past 8-1/2 years, then add on all of the daily attention I gave her between hand feeding her medicines followed by her favorite treats ever since she became sick and I find myself missing her terribly. Placing her into the ground Saturday, knowing I would never lay eyes on her again has crushed me. I never thought I could care so much about something as I do these pets of mine.

I'm not looking for any sympathy, I guess I just needed to write this down somewhere, so that I wouldn't forget to remember.
