Typical finds I have found them all-Dentures, Cremains human and pet,  sex toys, dirty dishes, porn, stuffed chicken, letters from prison, girlfriends letters to convict with naked pictures of herself, drug paraphernalia, grow operations, medical records from the mental hospital, bag of over 100 condoms at least they were not used, school books, library books, DVD from the rental place, Uhaul marked carts and blankets obviously stolen, rug doctor rental not returned, ammo about every other locker has at least a little, cheap falling apart pressboard furniture, older quality furniture with drawers missing and major damage, AA literature and coins, NA Literature and coin, bongs, magazines, junk mail, unpaid bills, eviction notices, home canned food 10 year old, rat droppings, dead rats, live rats (7 babies in a box), worthless tube TVs one or more in every unit, kitchen utensils of no value, worn out tires, cheap wall hangings, mattresses that are so ugly they go the dump, couches you would not want in your house, beat up VCRs, paint, hazardous household goods, 3 pounds of mercury in a flask,  and cheap tools made in China.

Sounds like a lot of my finds... I've saved pots and pans for the recycle place, have yet to tkae them in.   ADD Diaries, usb drives with very personal pictures and videos on them,  Tons of baby pictures and ultrasound pictures. and BREAST PUMPS!!

I perfer the HEAT..  The cold just makes my me miserable...  The heat I can at least slow down a little..  At least they don't smell as bad in the winter....  Oh wait that could be my nose being stuffed up.

Anyway... Got 2 units yesterday, went to clear one, the storage owner, a nice guy came up, about 30 minutes after I left the owner of one wanted the unit back..  had some of her parents/grand parents stuff in it.  maybe 450-500$ worth of furniture if I sold it, bunch of personal effects, clothes, etc..  I gave 60$ for the unit, sold it back to her for 350$ and she was happy as a lark.  I sorted the unit so had maybe an hour in it. So all in all I was pretty okay, with work I could have got a little more out of it.. but her kids photos were all there, and they were cute kids, bibles in the unit. good grades, good conduct awards.. and I just felt for her.

I would have had another 8 hours work or so to make maybe 100-150$ more if I was a jerk about it.

The other unit - Wacky find -  Girls unit - totally - New Victoria Secrets stuff (several pink bags, still have their tags)  Zumba DVD's etc,  baby girl toys, clothes, Nice strapples dress, matching purse (probably cost more than the unit back rent)  Baby cradle, board games, All girl stuff.  In the cradle was some clothes, baby clothes - in them was a small carpenters level...  Only "GUY" think in the unit..  Had a white Christmas tree all boxed up, a box of ornaments ALL PINK..

A nice play in for a baby.. a box of CF lightbulbs for home use.

and a common find these days, a DVR box..  Gotta love those... Almost always have a 360gb to 1 or 1.5 TB hard drive in them. :93:

Imagine that. We should start a thread about their logo and see if they change that too.  :043:

I like their Logo....

Gearing up for a new month of auctions...

It's gonna turn cold.. so maybe I will have some luck buying this month..

 :72:

Got the email that they disabled the soft close feature... Hope it stays that way.. So much easier to bid from my computer....

40
I guess if people Don't like the Soft Close, the buyers will go elsewhere... Stop buying online and then where does that leave them???  Don't confuse this topic with a MINE is bigger than your game.. This is a real issue that will cost all of us time and money in the long run!

41
FYI - not sure if you got it was SB...  Oh well time to get off my ...  and get to live auctions now.. The whole point of a Proxy bid is so you don't get out bid a the end...  Now people could just run you up to be running you up..

42
I for one will be OUT...  I'm not into this soft close thing at all..  They have lost my buyers fees...

I like things to be over when they are over...  It also takes the fun and skill out it..

43
Saving them... YES!!!   I think I might need to call the city for a special permit, the electric company for more amps....    Only thing I didn't get was a lot of garland.....  It is so hard to let go of Christmas decorations...

44
I logged in this morning and got notice about ending times being extended... Sure I have lost auctions because of this last minute snipping... but It's all fair that way.. I don't really like the extended times.. All I can see that doing is driving up my costs...
