I personally think that you could find all sorts of treasures in ANY storage unit. It just depends on whose perspective you're using to look at those items. I mean at the end of the day, those things have got to have had some sort of value to be kept in storage right? Otherwise the whole lot might have been thrown away at some point!

It has been quite some time that the cold episode occurred but yes the suspense still lingers on until this very day. It would be great if they would appear in a comeback episode especially for them to clear the air instead of just focusing on an auction unit.

I am 100% in agreement with you. This is a good part of the reason Trump was elected...we're sick of this stuff.

The Lounge / Anyone else as sick as I am with the media?

I don't think anyone can deny the bias is the media, but they've just gone too far. It's like they're trying to perpetuate a race war....like they're trying to cause civil unrest and ultimately martial law. I'm just sick of it and I'm done watching mainstream media.

Technically you're not supposed to have multiple PayPal accounts, but I have several. I switched to Stripe for my business credit card processing after my PayPal account got hacked and PayPal denied the claim. I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint against PayPal and then they retaliated by permanently cancelling my account. It must be nice to have so much business that you can afford to delete customers on a whim.

I tried appealing the cancellation several times, all of which were denied. Don't waste your time. Just create another account. You can even use the same name or a business name, same phone number, address, bank account number, etc.

PayPal / PayPal Permanently Limited With No Appeal? What Options Are Available For Me?
« Last post by nuzzo on August 06, 2017, 10:08:18 PM »
I have been limited permanently by PayPal for unusual account activity just recently. Considering it is PayPal, they never tell you the exact reason why they limit me. I tried calling them, but they kept giving me the run around and stating unusual activity when in fact nothing of my transactions or activity differed at all.

Now my question is, is it possible to ever use PayPal again? Has anyone got a permanently limited PayPal reinstated?
Has anyone been able to create a new account without being limited?

Any help would be appreciated.

:67: I think there's way too much emphasis being placed on which website is the best at selling other peoples old used junk.

Storage Auctions "In The News" / Bribery, Voter Fraud In Inside Self Storage Awards?
« Last post by Travis on August 01, 2017, 02:11:07 PM »
The following opinions are my own for satirical purposes. It's up to the reader to form their own opinion as to whether any fraud has taken place in this event.

So, I got this email from Jim Grant today and yes he's still claiming to be the founder of the online self-storage auction industry. In this press release...well, I'll just let you read it.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Inside Self-Storage Magazine Voters Name SelfStorageAuction.com
Best Online Auction Services

PHOENIX - Inside Self-Storage Magazine readers voted SelfStorageAuction.com, an online auction site that provides bidders with a centralized place to find self-storage auctions and attend live or bid online from virtually any location, as "Best Online Auction Services" in the magazine's "2017 Best of Business" poll.

"We are thrilled to be honored by our peers and industry professionals who recognize our team's dedication to serving our customers in every aspect of online auctions," said Jim Grant, who founded SelfStorageAuction.com. Grant was the founder of the online self storage auction industry with the ground-breaking website, Storage Battles*, which later merged with Storage Treasures*.  Grant's companies won the ISS Best Online Auction Award in 2013, 2014 and 2015 and he has done it once again with his latest venture, SelfStorageAuction.com
"This is a testament to our website being recognized as revolutionizing the storage auction industry yet again," Grant said. "Our platform is quickly growing in popularity within the United States and is currently expanding into the international market with auctions in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom due to the large demand we are receiving from other countries."

SelfStorageAuction.com is a mobile-friendly website that combines the simplicity, reliability and exceptional customer service of the original platform with new features that ensure stability and are more user friendly.  Through its integrated state of the art website, Self Storage Auction interfaces with all management software companies to make posting auctions easier.
Winners of the Inside Self-Storage "Best of Business" reader-choice poll are honored through profile pages in ISS Magazine as well as during a special ceremony at the Inside Self-Storage World Expo in Las Vegas. The results are published online year-round for ISS readers to access.

:34:  So the first thing that came to mind is "how did a company that is just a few months old and only has a handful of clients getting more votes than Storage Treasures, a company that claims to have a million registered users and thousands of storage facilities." Answer: they didn't. So, in my opinion, that leaves three possible explanations. Either A, Inside Self Storage Magazine's Best of Business Awards are for sale to the highest bidder, B someone wrote a program that casts artificial votes, or C Inside Self Storage was hacked.

But I may be completely wrong. There may be some other logical explanation for this. What do you guys & gals think about this story?

A show with high ratings will never cease to exist in my opinion. Viewers are often glued to their seat waiting for the ultimate reveal of whether that auction unit beholds treasures or just a pile of junk. This is the kind of show that sells and will continue to have upcoming seasons for sure.
